Majiks Studio — stems.

The week started with a release, but it ended with a cleanup. That is the arc of a mature engineering cycle. You spend the first half of the week pushing features out the door, and the second half sweeping up the dust to make sure the floor is safe for tomorrow. This week, I did both. I shipped v5.0.0 of majiks.online, opened two major repositories to the public, and spent the final days scrubbing git history until it stopped bleeding.

Monday was about structural integrity. I pushed the v5.0.0 release to majiks.online. This was not a patch. It was a shift. The commit touched fifty-six files and added over four thousand lines of code. I added credits tracking, ISRC management for creators, and a full music theory module. I also wired up automated backups for both audio and database to R2, because losing work to a flaky disk is a sin I refuse to commit twice. The build itself was quiet, but the infrastructure was fighting back. I tore down the Metabase usage dashboard in uc-cloud. It was sitting there, consuming 91% of the CPU on the host, providing data we could get from a simple log tail. It was redundant, noisy, and expensive. Removing it freed up resources and mental bandwidth. I also updated the ops-center configuration to ensure SMTP persistence is stable and fixed a tracking issue with Umami that was dropping public page views. I spent time stripping the product-specific branding from the Unicorn Commander theme. The login pages and error screens were all hardcoded with "UC-1 Pro." I genericized the templates. It is a subtle change, but it makes the platform feel more like a foundation and less like a prototype.

Tuesday was a branding sprint that felt less like design and more like putting a costume on a ghost. I overhauled majiks.online’s marketing face. The goal was to stop the site from feeling like a static brochure. I built a rotating taglines component that cycles through the value props and swapped out the old hero section. I also spun up a /support-artists page because the community aspect needed its own room. The visual anchor for all this was the DJ unicorn. I spent a good chunk of time swapping out the generic app icons and favicons with the new logo. It sounds trivial until you realize you have to touch five separate image files and the favicon cache just to see it stick. Under the hood, I tightened up the server-side logic in src/lib/radio.ts to ensure the stations actually fit the vibe they claim to have. I disabled the lyrics worker because we do not have real LRC data yet. Letting it run was just generating noise. I implemented server-side sign-up tracking so we aren’t relying on client-side scripts that might get blocked. I bumped the version to 5.1.0 to mark the radio and streaming relay updates.

I added credits tracking, ISRC management for creators, and a full music theory module.

Wednesday was the day of tectonic shifts. I spent eighteen commits across seven repositories, but the headline is not the volume. It is the fact that majiks-music-studio and majiks-music-studio-macos officially went open source today. The code is out, the licenses are set, and the community gets to see what we have been building in the dark. For majiks.music-studio, I prepared the initial Apache 2.0 release, cleaning up the repository structure and adding all the necessary documentation. It is a massive repo, over two hundred thousand lines of code, and it is now public. I did the same for the macOS variant, restructuring it into a unified macos subdirectory and tagging it v2.0.0. The website at majiks.studio got a corresponding overhaul to reflect these new open-source realities. On the business side, I pulled the trigger on the Pro Suite license gates. I implemented an Ed25519 verification system that checks the local keychain before granting access to premium features. I also fixed the lyrics engine, forcing the time loop to stay alive and bumping the update frequency to 20fps. The result is smooth, word-level sync that actually tracks the audio.

Thursday was about closing loops. Majiks Art Studio finally got the treatment it needed. We shipped v1.5.0, which brought in collections, batch generation, and drag-drop support. The second pass added pagination, cancel buttons, Spotlight indexing, keyboard shortcuts, and dark mode. When you are staring at a gallery of generated images for an hour, a white background is an enemy. Majiks Broadcaster got a similar squeeze. We released v1.3.0, which included a twenty-two issue audit fix, multi-codec streaming, and scheduled broadcasts. The real win was the tests. We added twenty-nine passing unit tests. You cannot trust a broadcast engine that you haven’t proven won’t crash when the network blips. I also started scaffolding email-cleaner-mac today. It is a new project, provider layer, build prompts. It is early days.

Friday arrived with the usual mix of cleanup and crisis management. I spent the day wrestling with three distinct problems: a crash in the relay, audio skipping on mobile, and getting the build pipeline to actually talk to the cloud. It was not a day of writing new features. It was a day of making sure what already exists did not fall apart. The most urgent issue was in majiks-relay. I fixed a crash when the source auth logic encountered a non-IP address. The validation for the inet column was too strict and panicked when it saw something it did not recognize. I added a quick check to handle those cases gracefully. On the web side, I fixed mobile audio skipping and player discoverability in the global player component. It was a seventy-one line change to the player component. It is not a huge overhaul, but the playback is stable now. I also bumped the version for the broadcaster to 1.3.1 with bug fixes and test infrastructure.

Saturday morning started with a clean slate and a heavy lift. The headline for the day was a new product. I shipped the very first version of Email Cleaner. This is a native macOS app built on Python, designed to use AI to tidy up your inbox. It is a solid plus 9412 lines added across 50 files. The backend handles the heavy lifting with an MLX analyzer, prompt engineering, and a backup manager. But the real grind was in the music studio. The v3.0.0 release for Majiks Music Studio Pro was a massive undertaking. I fixed the enhance_caption logic and resolved a whole host of regressions. I switched the LM backend from PyTorch MPS to native MLX. The difference is night and day on Apple Silicon. It fixed the memory bloat that had been plaguing generation sessions. On the broadcaster side, I integrated the Rust DSP engine into the iOS app. This means the EQ and audio processing are now handled by the high-performance Rust library instead of the Swift wrapper. It is a cleaner architecture and faster.

Sunday is usually for sleeping in, but the git log says I spent 32 commits across five repos. That is not a rest day. That is a day where I chased down loose ends in the broadcaster, cleaned up the mobile repo’s history, and finally got the brand kit where it belongs. The biggest headache was the broadcaster. I added the MCP server support, which meant rewriting a chunk of the networking and audio handling. The fix was boring but necessary: I cleaned up the project structure and added a standalone test target. Version bumped to 1.5.0. The mobile app had a different kind of mess. I pushed the multi-platform support for iPad, Android tablets, and the Apple Watch. The git history
