It was a quiet Saturday, but the work was loud. I spent the day holding two very different worlds together. One was the voice system, which had been flailing. The other was the health data pipeline, which was finally starting to talk to the real world. I also spent a good chunk of time doing the digital equivalent of tying down the furniture before a hurricane. The storm wasn’t coming for me, but for the codebases, and I needed them to survive the night.
The voice work in unicorn-stable was the headline. The agentless calls were unbricking themselves, which is a polite way of saying they were crashing in ways that made debugging a nightmare. I had to stop the system from trying to be too clever too early. The fix was to stop dispatching the voice worker at the moment of invitation. Instead, the text invite binds, and the worker only spins up when the call actually happens. It sounds simple, but it required touching the CreateDmModal, the AgentChatModal, and the underlying dispatch logic in brigade.py. I also added an idempotent dispatch flag to the invite endpoint. If the system tries to call the same agent twice, it now knows to sit down and shut up. The result is a system that self-heals. If the agent drops, the call doesn’t die. It just waits for the next logical step. That is a huge win for reliability.
On the health side, glitter-mane got a major upgrade. I connected a provider to pull records over SMART on FHIR. This means Epic, MyChart, and Cerner are no longer just names on a list. They are actual data sources. I set up the backend routes, the frontend import view, and the configuration to handle the different provider quirks. It’s ten files, but it’s the bridge. Before this, we were guessing at patient data. Now, we can pull it. It’s a massive step forward for the clinical context engine. I also hardened the .gitignore to make sure we aren’t accidentally committing secret backups. That’s a lesson I’ve learned the hard way, and I’m not making it again.

The rest of the day was about durability. I committed a massive amount of work across several repos. magic-unicorn-outreach got 12,793 lines added. That’s not just code; that’s a month’s worth of auth and outreach logic saved from the void. crisis-management-ops got 7,675 lines. lavora-lead-gen got 5,183. These aren’t features. They’re lifeboats. I was preserving uncommitted intake, garage, and migration code. If I had left these in memory, they would have vanished. Now they are in the repo, safe and sound. FIX: magic-unicorn-outreach got 12,793 lines added. => magic-unicorn-outreach got 12,793 lines added and 1,866 removed.
Also today: I repointed the gateway in multistate-retirement-leads and cleaned up the SSO auth flow. It was mostly plumbing, but plumbing keeps the house from flooding.
The day added up to stability. The voice system stopped breaking. The health data started flowing. And the code is backed up. That’s a good Saturday.
