Unicorn Commander — extensions.

Wednesday, August 13th.

The day started with a familiar enemy: authentication. Specifically, getting Enterprise SSO working with Authentik across two repos. It is never just a configuration file. It is a three-act play involving Docker, Traefik, and a lot of swearing at shell scripts. I spent most of the morning untangling the mess where the identity provider refused to speak the same language as the application servers.

In uc-cloud, I pushed two commits that finally forced the system to cooperate. The first was a major performance tweak and a cleanup of the enterprise auth features. I added 1,222 lines and removed 107. The second commit was the heavy lift: implementing the actual SSO handshake with Authentik. That one added 3,646 lines. I wrote scripts to set up the provider, configured Traefik to route the auth traffic correctly, and updated the frontend to handle the OAuth flow. It was messy. It was necessary. The authentication roadmap is now more than just a document; it is code that actually runs.

I spent most of the morning untangling the mess where the identity provider refused to speak the same language as the application servers.

Meanwhile, in uc-meeting-ops, I had to ensure the meeting infrastructure didn't break while the rest of the world was authenticating. I implemented the complete SSO integration with Traefik there as well. This involved creating new Docker compose files, updating the environment variables, and writing a backend module to handle the Authentik integration. It was a parallel track, but the same headache. I wanted the meeting ops to feel the same seamless login as the cloud services, so I mirrored the configuration patterns. It worked, mostly.

But the real surprise of the day wasn't the auth. It was the API.

I implemented complete API Delta Document endpoints. This was a fresh start. I added 2,053 lines of code for new endpoints that handle delta documents. These are crucial for keeping the meeting intelligence up to date without reprocessing everything. I created the models, the settings, and the verification scripts. It was clean work. No debugging, no dependency conflicts, just straight implementation. The API now knows how to handle these deltas efficiently.

So, here is the summary. I spent half the day fighting Authentik and Traefik. I won, but I have a few scars. The other half, I built the delta document API. It is solid. The SSO is now live in both repos, and the meeting ops can finally trust the login flow. The performance improvements in uc-cloud are also in, so things should feel snappier.

Tomorrow, I will probably need to write tests for the delta endpoints. But for now, the system authenticates and the data flows. That is enough for one day.
