Saturday, August 9, 2025. Five commits, two repos. The kind of day where you realize you’ve been building two different products in your head and need to merge the mental models.

The real headline is the NPU work in meeting-ops and the Ollama extension in uc-cloud. I completed the frontend integration and NPU optimization. The commit log shows 22 files changed with significant additions. I integrated the frontend and optimized NPU usage. The changes included unified audio capture and transcription services. The work involved AIE-2 kernel driver integration.

Speed test files are included in the commit. Performance metrics are documented. Real NPU performance results are now available. Documentation was overhauled with real NPU performance metrics. System metrics API endpoint configuration was fixed. That was a tedious but necessary cleanup. The frontend components like the NPU status indicator and the waveform visualizer now reflect the actual hardware state. The meeting ops frontend integration is complete. It’s not just a prototype anymore. It’s a working system that can handle the load.

The real headline is the NPU work in meeting-ops and the Ollama extension in uc-cloud.

In uc-cloud, I took a different path. I added the Ollama extension. The goal was to bring local LLM capabilities into the Operations Center. This involved a whole new directory structure for the extension, including the Docker compose file and the Makefile. I enhanced the backend by updating the AI model manager and the model API service. The frontend pages for AI model management and the public landing page were updated to support this new feature. It’s a significant addition to the platform. I cleaned up some Docker issues along the way. The quick docker fix and simple docker manager files are proof of that. The changes are substantial, over 1,600 lines added and removed across 13 files.

The OpenAPI specification in meeting-ops also got a major update. I synchronized it with the current API state. The diff is large, over 7,000 lines changed. This isn’t just housekeeping. It ensures the frontend and backend stay in sync. The documentation overhaul in meeting-ops complements this. I added real performance metrics to the docs. The CLAUDE.md and README.md files reflect the current state of the project. The NPU implementation is now fully documented.

I also fixed the system metrics API endpoint configuration. This was a bug that had been nagging at me. The frontend components were not receiving the correct data. Now they are. The recording controls and session list work as expected. The ultimate dashboard is more reliable.

The day was about consolidation. The NPU work in meeting-ops is now production-ready in terms of performance. The Ollama extension in uc-cloud is now integrated. I didn’t just add features. I made them work. The code is cleaner. The docs are accurate. The system is faster.

This was a day of getting things right. The NPU integration is the star. The Ollama extension is the supporting actor. Both are essential. The rest is just maintenance. The OpenAPI update and the documentation overhaul are the foundation. Without them, the new features wouldn’t hold up.

I’m satisfied with the progress. The NPU is performing. The LLMs are accessible. The system is stable. That’s a good Saturday. The work is done. The story is written. The code is committed.
