Wednesday was a day of rebranding and bridging the gap between the tools and the people who need them. I spent the morning wrestling with the marketing site, trying to make it look like a real product instead of a prototype, and the afternoon locking in the voice and AI capabilities for the stable backend.
On the front end, the biggest shift was getting the landing page to reflect the actual architecture. FIX: I updated the core messaging to "the open source AI operating system" and ran a full Grok pass on the competitive research. It was a massive file churn, touching over forty files in the unicorncommander.com repo, but it feels honest now. => I updated the core messaging to "the open source AI operating system" and ran a full Grok pass on the competitive research. I also moved The Colonel into the upper left corner of the navbar, which finally makes the branding feel less like an afterthought.
The copy needed a serious truth pass. I updated the core messaging to "the open source AI operating system" and ran a full Grok pass on the competitive research. It was a massive file churn, touching over forty files in the unicorncommander.com repo, but it feels honest now. I also wired up two verified-clean product captures for the catalog and quarantined the rest until they are ready. The product cards are wider now, so single-item layers don't leave awkward empty rows.

The backend work was about making the agent tools actually usable. I built out the suite of Text-to-Speech and Speech-to-Text tools for the MCP bridge. This involved cleaning up the agent exit logic so it doesn't hang around when it should be gone. I also added live human captions to the voice component and built out the transcript export for Meeting Ops. The UI got a lot of love here too, with a new transcript panel and settings modal to handle the configuration.
There were some small but nagging UI fixes that needed to be squashed. I fixed the participant strip so direct messages sit above channels, which had been bugging me for a while. I also made reactions clickable on mobile and got the message read-aloud feature working properly. The pop-out window for calls now supports Picture-in-Picture, multi-share, and screenshot paths.
Also today: I updated the canonical suite hosts to use *.unicorncommander.ai and glittermane.health, and I fixed the Stack page to guard the GitHub link when a product only has a suite URL. The veteran-ops screenshot got refreshed after a suite routing fix, and I stripped the global online status to keep things clean.
It’s a long day in terms of file changes, but it adds up to a clearer picture of what we are building. The site finally looks like the system, and the system finally talks back.
