Friday, 2026-05-01. I spent 40 commits across eight repositories, but the real work happened in two distinct arenas. One was the relentless polish of project-ops, where I finally finished the toolbar sweep and shipped a command palette. The other was infrastructure, where I deployed Stalwart Mail and wrestled listing-ops into the bigboy ecosystem.
The project-ops story was about finishing touches. I had been chipping away at the dashboard UI for weeks, and today I closed out the list-view sort and filter toolbar. That commit touched six files, mostly around the Projects page and a new list-toolbar component. It felt good to have a consistent pattern across My Tasks, Documents, and Users. But the headline feature was the command palette. I added Cmd+K support, which required refactoring the dashboard layout and adding a new component. It’s a small thing, but it changes how I navigate the app. I also bumped the list limits from 100 to 500 items. The old limit was biting us on larger projects, and the overflow notice is a nice safety net.
I also fixed a nasty P1 bug where Vibrant theme crashed because classList.remove choked on space-separated values. That one cost me a few extra hours, but it’s solid now. The Sentry auto-instrumentation issue is also gone; I dropped the HTTP auto-instrumentation that was breaking every write. You have to be careful with those tracing libraries.

On the ops side, I deployed Stalwart Mail to kvm2-mail. It’s a fresh deployment, so I wrote the bootstrap scripts for domains, listeners, and OIDC directory integration. 21 files just to get the mailbox talking to the rest of the stack. I also updated the runbooks for Stalwart live, flipping MX records for 26 domains and cleaning up the catch-all backlog.
Then there was listing-ops. I spent time wiring it to bigboy’s auth system. I switched the SSO provider to auth.magicunicorn.dev/realms/uchub and matched the Traefik conventions for Let’s Encrypt and HTTPS redirects. It’s all about making the deployment predictable. I also deployed fixes from the first prod rollout on midboy1, tweaking the Dockerfile and the API config.
I squeezed in a few other things. I added a character art direction spec for majiks.kids, which I’ll probably ignore for a month. I updated the magicunicorn.tech model list and bumped the fallbacks. And I fixed a FalkorDB syntax error in unicorn-brigade that would have crashed the knowledge graph if I’d tested it.
The day added up to a cleaner dashboard and a working mailbox. I’m tired, but the code is better for it.
