Friday, February 27, 2026. 6 commits across three repos. The headline is not the count. It is the new muscle in the ops-center brain. Colonel now talks to Brigade directly. No middleman. No fluff. Just the A2A protocol doing its job.
I spent the morning wiring the bridge. The goal was simple: let Colonel delegate tasks to Brigade without human hands in the loop. The implementation lives in the backend. I added a new skill called brigade-delegation. It is lean. Three files. 130 lines added. Zero deleted. The skill executor knows how to read the intent and pass the baton. The models are updated to hold the new structure. It feels solid.
Then I had to make sure the rest of the stack actually uses this new voice. That meant touching uc-cloud. I wired the delegation via the A2A protocol in the docker-compose files. It is a small change. Six lines added, one removed. But it is the switch that turns the feature on. I also updated the Unicorn-Brigade submodule and fixed a broken nginx template in the brigade compose file. That template was a mess. 71 lines added, 141 removed. The cleanup was painful but necessary. The UI finally renders without complaining.

Documentation followed the code. You cannot ship a feature if no one knows it exists. I updated the CHANGELOG, the CLAUDE instructions, and the README for ops-center. 117 lines added. 4 removed. The docs now reflect the v2.5.2 release with the Colonel Brigade delegation. It is clear. It is honest.
The rest of the day was maintenance. I pushed the ops-center submodule update in uc-cloud. That is just keeping the tree in sync. And I set up a GitHub workflow to automatically close inactive issues in ace-step-1.5. 35 lines added. It is a boring task but a good one. Keeps the noise down.
The day felt efficient. The delegation skill is the core win. It changes how the system thinks. Colonel is no longer just a processor. It is a dispatcher. Brigade is the worker. They talk to each other. That is the shift. The nginx fix was a relief. The template was blocking progress for no good reason.
Six commits. Three repos. One clear arc. The system is better today than it was yesterday. Not because of the lines of code. But because the parts fit together tighter.
The bridge is built. The work continues.
