Unicorn Brigade — orchestration.

Sunday is usually for rest, but the build pipeline doesn't take weekends off. Today was about tightening the screws on three distinct fronts: making the music generation actually sound like music, giving the Colonel agent some memory, and polishing the speech synthesis until it didn't crash.

The biggest battle was in Majiks Music Studio. The previous versions had been plagued by audio distortion and a crash that made the whole thing unusable. I spent most of the day restoring the original ACE-Step 1.5 orchestration modules. It wasn't just a patch; it was a rollback with purpose. I pulled in 17 files to restore the full music quality that had degraded. The v1.3.0 release adds nearly 192,000 lines of code back into the pipeline, replacing the broken logic with the proven v1.5 architecture. Before that, I had to fix the guidance defaults and squash the audio distortion in v1.2.2. It is satisfying to see the numbers go up. The generation is stable, the quality is back, and the app doesn't crash when you ask it to do its job.

While the music was getting its soul back, the ops-center was getting a brain. The Colonel agent needed to remember things. I wired up memory activation and PostgreSQL persistence so conversations don't vanish when the server restarts. I also built out the A2A wiring and a websocket gateway so the frontend can talk to the backend in real time. The frontend got a massive polish pass, with over 3000 files cleaned up and a new skill system that lets Colonel execute tasks like backup management and GPU monitoring. It is no longer just a chat window; it is an operator.

I spent most of the day restoring the original ACE-Step 1.

On the voice side, the Unicorn Orator repo got a major upgrade. Pocket TTS v3.0 landed with a tabbed GUI, long text support, and voice cloning. I added multi-voice dialogue and audio history so users can track what the bot said and when. It was a heavy lift, touching 32 files, but the result is a much more usable tool for anyone needing synthetic speech that doesn't sound like a robot reading a manual.

I also spent time keeping the lights on across the infrastructure. The Brigade dashboard had a WebGL crash and some SSE buffering issues that I fixed. I updated the nginx proxy auth and cleaned up the API URLs. The uc-home-ops integration got a boost with the Brigade submodule updates, adding voice-router multi-agent configuration. It is all interconnected, and if one piece breaks, the whole house feels it.

The day ended with the usual cycle of commit, build, and hope. The music is better, the agent remembers, and the voice is clear. It is a good day for a builder.
