The headline for today is Ops Center. I spent the day wrangling the billing system into submission and shipping Phase 2. It was a heavy lift involving subscription management, dynamic pricing, and a complete UI overhaul. The code churn was massive. One commit alone touched 879 files with over 45,000 lines changed. I also wrapped up the documentation for the deployment and integration. It is finally in a state where it can be used.
The other major arc was the Unicorn Commander website. I did a comprehensive refresh of the site content and product pages. The commit added over 41,000 lines across 91 files. It was mostly structure and content, but it makes the site look like a real product instead of a placeholder. I also cleaned up the search integration in center-deep-pro. I removed Google because it was blocked by TLS fingerprinting issues. I added Startpage and Mojeek as alternatives. They are privacy-first and do not have the same fingerprinting headaches.
A third theme was observability. I pushed Umami Analytics to about seven different repos. It is a simple, privacy-friendly tracker. I added it to unicorncommander.com, magicunicorn.tech, cognitivecompanion.dev, and a few others. It gives me basic traffic data without the bloat of Google Analytics. It is a small change, but it makes the ecosystem feel more connected.
I did a comprehensive refresh of the site content and product pages.
I also fixed a kernel issue in unicorn-amanuensis. The NPU mel kernel needed a recompile with accuracy fixes from late October. It was a quick fix, but it matters for audio processing performance.
The rest of the day was scattered. I updated submodules in uc-cloud to point to the new Ops Center version. I updated some documentation in ops-center to reflect the new billing features. I pushed a few small fixes to other sites. None of it was groundbreaking, but it kept things moving.
The billing system in Ops Center is the real work here. It handles usage tracking, subscription management, and payment methods. I built the dynamic pricing engine and the organization billing APIs. The UI is complete with dashboards for admins and users. It is a complex system, and it took a lot of commits to get right. But it is done.
The Unicorn Commander site refresh is also significant. It was a large content update. I added product pages, comparison tables, and integration guides. It makes the site much more useful for visitors. It is a better representation of what we are building.
Today was about finishing things. The billing system is finished. The site refresh is finished. The analytics are in place. It is a good day to have done that. The work is solid, and it ships.
