Friday started with me launching Center Deep, a metasearch engine from scratch. I pushed the initial commit with 34 files and 4,851 lines, the whole app, the README, the logos, the roadmap. Then I cleaned up the screenshots, organized them into a proper folder, and updated the README with images that actually show what the thing looks like.
The real chunk of work was the AI tool servers. I spun up a whole Docker architecture for them, 23 files, about 4,000 lines added. Academic search, deep search, tool servers running as their own containers, orchestrated with docker-compose. This wasn't just slapping a button on the existing search. It's a full plugin layer now, with each tool getting its own Dockerized process. The app itself, the CSS, the admin template, the install script, all of it got wired up.
Also, I made sure the repo itself looked professional. SearXNG fork energy. Screenshots of every page. A favicon generated from a script. The whole package reads like something you'd actually want to use instead of whatever you're currently clicking through.
The real chunk of work was the AI tool servers.
Meanwhile, Meeting-Ops got the same treatment it always needs. I pushed it to production-ready with full NPU acceleration. 61 files, 9,170 lines changed. The transcriber got a hybrid approach, the NPU runtime got wired in, the backend got restructured. The frontend GUI screenshot went up. The OpenAPI spec got formalized. This is the version that stops being a prototype and starts being a product.
The weird thing about Friday launches is they feel less dramatic than Monday ones. No one's checking the stats on a Friday. But both of these ships matter. Center Deep is a search engine that actually thinks about what you're looking for instead of just dumping a results page. Meeting-Ops is the voice-to-text backend that stops chugging on CPU and starts using the NPU like it was supposed to from the start.
Two repos, nine commits, one productive Friday.
