Rendered from this day’s 7 commits — no stock art.

Tuesday, January 7, 2025, started with a clean slate and three empty repos. I committed seven times across Unicorn-Commander-Portal, Unicorn-Commander-product-website, and unicorn-commander-product-suite. The work was mostly scaffolding. I was laying down the initial commits, setting up the file trees, and getting the basic structures in place so the actual features would have somewhere to live.

The Portal repo got the first attention. I dropped in the core React structure with App.jsx, main.jsx, and the ChatPage. I also added the ChatWindow component. It is a small footprint, just 246 lines added, but it establishes the entry point for the chat interface. Then I brought in the assets. I added images for AnythingLLM, Embedding, Fooocus, Nginx, Portainer, Researcher, and Searxng. This is the visual backbone for the dashboard. I also committed the package files and the initial README. It is not much code, but it is the foundation.

The product suite came next. I set up the main application shell here. I added the CSS files, the main entry points, and the page components. I created pages for CRC, CenterDeep, CognitiveCompanion, CommandCanvas, and MagiCode. That is 2,157 lines added. It is a lot of empty state, but it maps out the navigation structure. I want the routes to exist before I fill them with logic. I also committed the README and the package files. This repo feels like the brain of the operation, even if it is currently just a skeleton.

I added images for AnythingLLM, Embedding, Fooocus, Nginx, Portainer, Researcher, and Searxng.

The website repo was the biggest commit by volume. I added 6,712 lines across 53 files. I set up the Docker environment with the Dockerfile and docker-compose.yml. I configured Nginx with the main, template, and custom configuration files. I added the deploy script. I also included the PROJECT_GUIDE.md and the initial README. The bulk of the code is the frontend assets and configuration. I added the package files, PostCSS config, and the index.html. I also dropped in a bunch of image assets. This repo is the public face. It needs to be robust from day one because it is what people will see first.

I also committed the README for the website repo. It is a small change, but it is necessary. I want the documentation to be there from the start.

This was a heavy setup day. I am not writing logic yet. I am writing structure. I am defining the boundaries of the system. I want to know that the pieces fit together before I start polishing them. It is boring work, but it is important. If the foundation is shaky, the rest will crumble. I am building a solid base. I am making sure the Docker setup works. I am making sure the routes are defined. I am making sure the assets are in place.

The day was about preparation. I committed the initial state of three distinct projects. I am ready to start building the actual features now. The scaffolding is up. The doors are open. I can start moving furniture in.

I started three engines. Now I can drive.
