I spent the day fixing the voice relay so it stops talking over itself and getting the Project-Ops video ready for staging. The two things that mattered were the speech interrupt logic in Stable and the gated video deploy in ops-center. The rest was Persephone handling the backlog.

In unicorn-stable, the voice relay was choking on its own output. The system had a hard cap of 900 characters and a 45-second timeout, but it wasn't handling the transition between replies cleanly. I pushed a fix that chunks the replies and allows the user to interrupt queued speech. This changes the behavior so that in a direct message, the agent gives a full reply, but in a room, it chunks and lets you talk over it. It also stops voicing the "On it" acknowledgments, which was cluttering the audio. The code touches seven files, including the agent logic and the webhook server. The tests are updated to verify the new limits and the dispatch behavior. The goal was to make the voice interaction feel less like a broadcast and more like a conversation.

In ops-center, I added a gated video for Project-Ops and set up an isolated staging deploy. This involved seven files, mostly scripts and the marketplace page. The video is not final. It has three narration beats rendered at 120 words per minute on an RTX 3090, but no music or final loudness pass. The staging page is up for review, but it is not production-ready. I had to create a specific workspace for the dogfood ring to avoid using real mail, and the capture is blocked until we have a verified demo environment. The video assets are staged, but the final render needs a vision sweep and audio polish.

I pushed a fix that chunks the replies and allows the user to interrupt queued speech.

Persephone handled a lot of the noise today. She set up the private DM for the desk, filed tickets for the Charlotte trip and the Stable UX clunkiness, and managed the recording rig for the build-in-public segment. She also figured out that Shafen's Mac does not have a P100, which was a small relief. The footage catalogue for the BIP segment is mostly done, with 1,794 samples scored across 13 videos. She also pulled phone-call footage from the UniFi Protect cameras to verify if the Segway was loaded, which turned out to be a no.

Also today: Codex Astra started working on the crew avatars and the voice relay cap, but I kept the actual code changes to the relay fix. The avatar work is in the pipeline, with new expression frames for the majik and the Colonel, but the deploy for the crew bundle was handled earlier. The video production for the other products is in progress, with scripts and narration beats ready for the other lanes.

The day added up to a cleaner voice interface and a video that is closer to done. The relay fix makes the agent less annoying, and the staging page gives us something concrete to look at. The rest is just waiting on the final render and the demo environment.
