Ops-Center — live surface.

Friday, 2026-06-12, 73 commits across 10 repos.

The headline is the brand-ops release. GUI v2 is live. I spent the day pushing the final polish and fixing the surface-level bugs that QA round 1 unearthed. The design package landed in v0.2.0, and the code followed in v0.3.0. It was a massive surface area: 24 commits just in that repo, fixing everything from the portfolio surface to the studio canvas. I also wired up the account menu, the sign-out chain, and the Settings page. The suite SSO is now fronted by oauth2-proxy, and I fixed the proxy cookie lifespan to match the realm's SSO session so the tokens don't expire while the user is still looking at the screen. It is the brand as interface now.

Behind the scenes, the accounting-ops repo took a heavy hit. This was about making the categorizer actually useful. I activated the Qwen Tier-2 categorization via the metered gateway, which touched 10 files. I also built a frontier-fallback routing policy so the system escalates to a better model if the first pass abstains. The bulk run no longer spins on null payloads, and it is idempotent via an ai_attempted marker. I added the Owner's Contribution and Owner's Draw equity categories to the COA. On the receipt side, I wired the bbox-oracle traditional-OCR as a Tier-2 cross-check and fixed the default VLM model to include a deterministic arithmetic validator. I also fixed the deploy config so the public host actually points to accounting-ops.magicunicorn.dev instead of the generic alias.

I spent the day pushing the final polish and fixing the surface-level bugs that QA round 1 unearthed.

The tax-planning-ops repo got a lot of attention for the federation with accounting-ops. I built the trusted M2M caller path so TPO can read P&L data from Accounting-Ops. This involved passing the workspace_id through the Brigade exchange and brokering tokens via RFC-8693. I also made sure the net income matches the contract exactly using Decimal-exact dollar strings. The strategist engine now has deeper context, pulling in client goals, prior-year trajectory, and the full return memo. I also designed the GUI v3 'Daylight & Paper' concept and the GUI v2 'Graphite & Paper' mockups for the agent-first redesign.

In listing-ops, I tackled the eBay finances ledger. The sync is now refund-aware and handles real-shipping payouts. I fixed the Finances API to use the correct apiz.* host and added a condition-per-category guard for publishing. The earnings view now shows a full per-sale P&L breakdown with a running settlement balance.

I also closed three cost-recovery substrate gaps in ops-center billing. In contact-ops, I hardened the exposure with headers, body caps, rate limits, and SSRF protection, and added per-tenant Garage bucket auto-provisioning. The iOS app hit version 1.0, with real-STT diarization proven on device.

Also today: I metered the M1 Lago emitter in center-deep-research, pinned oauth2-proxy in uc-meeting-ops to fix the auth break, and routed the qwen3.6-vision traffic to balance the P40 and 3090 GPUs in uc-cloud.

It was a day of connecting the pipes and polishing the glass. The brand looks good, and the accounting finally talks to the rest of the system.
