Wednesday was a day of plumbing and panic. I spent the morning wrestling the producer container into submission, fighting a war against Docker’s stubborn insistence on ignoring my instructions. The prod environment had been refusing to start the Next.js app, choking on argument pass-throughs and hardcoded UIDs that don’t belong in a shared compose file. I baked port 3000 directly into the start script, dropped the read-only mount that was breaking things, and finally got the named volumes for node_modules and .next pointing to the right places. It wasn’t glamorous, but it’s the kind of invisible work that keeps the lights on. I also added Traefik basic auth middleware and corrected the entrypoint names to the actual https/http labels the router expects.
The real story, though, is the heavy lifting on the unicorn-brigade. I shipped the Majiks Ecosystem Research Monitor, a new agent system with four captains and five workers. It’s a significant chunk of infrastructure: 2,175 lines added to handle discovery, dispatch, and tripwire alerts. Alongside that, I built out the Catalog Curator and Listener Insights tools, giving the system the ability to query its own knowledge base and break down geographic data. I also re-enabled the langfuse dependency to keep telemetry flowing, even if it meant fighting through some version compatibility noise.
On the website side, the focus was on clarity and navigation. I restored the apostrophe in "Majik's Studio" across the site I added a "Sign in" link that routes to ops.majiks.studio, updated the header to include a Studio Account link, and fixed a trailing slash issue on the music page that was returning the wrong index. I also updated the MLC Publisher Member status to ACTIVE, which feels good to see reflected in the copy.

The ops-center got a major update with the customer-facing Majiks Account view, Stage 8b. It’s a clean slate of 892 lines that handles the account interface, along with fixes for the audit logger to accept status and details aliases and a fix for the colonel agent to emit https URLs behind reverse proxies. I also fixed a project number collision in the v1.6.59 MCP tool that was causing headaches during project creation.
Documentation wasn’t ignored. I redesigned the subscription architecture in unicorn-ecosystem to make Stripe just an adapter, not the source of truth, and wrote up the Peertube setup and OIDC audit notes. It’s all part of building a system that can scale without falling over when the database changes.
Also today: I fixed nginx, updated the voice LLM client profiles, and cleaned up environment variable examples.
The day added up to a more resilient infrastructure, a smarter agent swarm, and a site that finally speaks correctly.
