Friday, April 24, 2026. I pushed 48 commits across 13 repos. Most of the weight came from the ACE Music Cloud migration across majiks.music and majiks-studio-web, a big cleanup in unicorn-ecosystem, and the usual unicorn-squad polish.
The headline for the day was Phase C.9 through C.11: routing all music generation through the ACE Music Cloud backend and repositioning the publisher as Curated. That meant a finalize-to-tracks hook, a cover art pipeline, new public and profiles routers on the backend, plus the matching frontend pages. I added DMCA, privacy, and terms pages, an onboarding tour, artist profile pages, and library views. On the studio side, I added a per-user ACE Music API key in settings, updated the studio view label to partnership-hosted, and rebranded the publisher grid. The bridge auth wiring went in too. It was plumbing and positioning work, but the whole pipeline finally has a single home.
Then the studio-bridge tried to auto-onboard users from majiks.music on first publish, which I committed, realized it was too heavy, and reverted in a single massive sweep across 253 files. The revert stripped 36,482 lines; the re-apply added 2,685. It was the kind of dependency hell that makes you question your life choices, and the fix was simpler than the initial approach anyway.

unicorn-squad got its 0.6.0 release treatment: auto-update checker wired up, DMG build got 2.5GB of slack to stop failing with "No space left on device", and the app icon went from Colonel Katie to the Unicorn Squad branded mark. Under the hood, on-device AI landed: Parakeet-MLX STT, Apple Speech STT, MLX LLM backend, memory consolidation, and conversation persistence. I also fixed the runaway macOS process spawning that had stacked up 12 instances, cleaned up NPU filter UI, and added a live backend indicator to the sidebar.
majiks-screen got its own auto-update checker and a 1,972-line in-app AI video editor agent with LLM client, tool executor, conversation store, and system prompts. majiks-dsp got UpdateChecker + release entitlements for notarized distribution. meeting-minutes standardized its release pipeline and fixed the update URL to point at magicunicorn.tech instead of majiks.studio.
ops-center got a landing page JSONB fix, untracked all the .env files with secrets, and I hotfixed a branding regression that had broken the dashboard load. uc-cloud deployed the voice stack (faster-whisper + kokoro-fastapi + Langfuse) across 62 files on bigboy. unicorn-brigade shipped self-serve onboarding, OpenAI SSE streaming, landing page, and tool trace wiring. unicorn-ecosystem got initialized with a 4,997-line docs dump covering the hardware map, server configs, and session handoffs.
The day added up to shipping: the music pipeline now lives on ACE, three desktop apps have auto-updaters, unicorn-squad 0.6.0 is released, and the voice infrastructure is live on bigboy.
