Majiks Studio — library.

Today felt like finally tightening the screws on a chassis that’s been rattling for weeks. The headline isn't just the shiny new social features or the massive playback overhaul. It’s the fact that I actually got the Python frameworks to bundle correctly across the board. I spent the morning wrestling with native libraries in the Art Studio and Songwriter agent builds, and I’m glad to say it’s done. The self-contained builds now work on fresh Mac installs without requiring the user to install Python separately. That’s a quality-of-life win that keeps the friction out of the way.

With the installer headaches cleared, I shifted gears to the music studio, where I shipped version 1.8.2. This was a heavy lift, touching 16 files. The core of it is the new playback queue and the integration of ACE-Step 1.8 modes. I also overhauled the publisher interface, which had been feeling a bit disjointed. The metadata and credits system got a serious polish too, ensuring that every track in the library carries its proper weight and attribution. It’s not just about generating audio anymore; it’s about managing a catalog that feels professional.

On the web side, the social layer finally came online. I built out the profiles, follows, and comments schema. It’s a significant chunk of backend logic, but seeing the follow buttons and profile pages render correctly was satisfying. I paired this with some crucial UX polish across the board. The search playback was fixed, which had been nagging me, and I added the like and similar tracks features. I also made sure the artwork display is consistent, using genre gradients everywhere so the interface feels cohesive rather than patchwork. The compositions model and enhanced variations UI round out the web changes, giving users more depth in how they interact with their tracks.

The studio site got its own attention. I ran a full UI/UX audit and fixed the suite showcase, cleaned up the footer, and made sure the branding is consistent. I also added screenshots and rich content to the Art Studio and Songwriter pages, so visitors can actually see what the tools do before they commit. It’s a small detail, but it bridges the gap between marketing and product reality.

Also today: I pushed a few minor fixes to the majiks.online build, including a cache fix and some player enhancements. The list view is back, and the radio feature is hidden for now until it’s ready for prime time.

It was a day of integration. The social features talk to the studio, the studio talks to the web, and the installers actually work. The pieces are locking in.
