Monday morning started with a clean slate and a heavy lift. The goal was simple enough: get the UC-1 project standing on its own two feet. I spent the bulk of the day initializing the repository with the core components that make up the Unicorn-Embed stack. It wasn't just about copying files; it was about laying the foundation. I committed the initial structure, which included the Docker configuration, the Makefile, and the setup instructions. That single initial commit brought in 60 files and nearly three thousand lines of code. It felt good to see the skeleton of the system take shape all at once.

Once the base was solid, I shifted focus to making the system actually usable for others. Documentation is only half the battle; the other half is making it easy to install. I wrote a script to handle the Open Interpreter setup, adding sixty-one lines to the project. Then I tackled Portainer, writing a dedicated install script to keep things tidy. These small additions are the glue that holds the user experience together. If someone wants to run this, they shouldn't have to guess how to get the tools in place. I wanted to remove that friction.

The day also required some housekeeping with the environment variables. I updated the .env files, tweaking configurations to ensure everything aligns correctly with the new setup. This involved modifying sixty lines across two files. It is easy to overlook these small changes, but they are critical for the system to behave predictably. A misconfigured variable can break the whole stack, so I took the time to verify the updates.

Once the base was solid, I shifted focus to making the system actually usable for others.

By the end of the day, the UC-1 project is no longer just an idea in a repo. It is a tangible, installable system with clear instructions and automated setup scripts. The initial commit provided the muscle, and the install scripts provided the limbs. It is a solid start. I am ready to move on to the next phase of development, but for now, the foundation is set. This was a day of building structure and removing barriers. The work is done, and the system is ready for its first run.
