Friday started as a scaffolding day and stayed that way. I was after getting three new project bones on the filesystem so the rest of the week has somewhere solid to hang. By close, each repo had a working React shell and I called it good.
The first repo was shawns-services-repo. A single initial commit brought in the whole Vite project: index.html, Tailwind via postcss.config.js, the full src/ tree with App.jsx, Navbar.jsx, Footer.jsx, and page stubs for About, Booking, and Contact, plus the usual package.json and package-lock.json. I tossed in a README.md in a second commit and moved on. Then I repeated the exact same pattern for shawns.services, identical structure, identical file list, just a different domain name slapped on the front. That felt a little mechanical, but repetition is what scaffolding is.
The third repo, superiorbsolutions.com, followed the same arc with one small variation: the page list had Home.jsx instead of Booking.jsx, and it shipped 15 files instead of 16. Three commits total there, same rhythm.
That felt a little mechanical, but repetition is what scaffolding is.
Six commits across three repos. Nothing flashy, but three clean starting points for the week. Sometimes the best engineering decision is picking a pattern and committing to it.
