The calendar flipped to 2024-12-16 and the week started with a familiar rhythm: clearing the deck. I spent the day laying foundations for three separate projects. It was not a day of deep logic or tricky algorithms. It was a day of setting up structures, defining interfaces, and getting the initial commits pushed. The work was repetitive in the best way possible. It felt like building the skeleton before worrying about the muscles.
The first arc was CognitiveCompanion. I started by initializing the repository and bringing in the core application structure. The commit brought in over five thousand lines of code across twenty files. This included the main application component, the chat interface, and several UI elements like buttons and selectors. I also added the README to close out the repo. The goal was simple: get the basic shell running so I could start iterating on the agent logic later. The structure is clean, using TypeScript and React, with a clear separation between the chat components and the layout.
Next came OITEST-Frontend. This project got a similar treatment. I initialized the repo and added the initial application files. The codebase is lighter than the companion app, coming in at just over five thousand lines across fourteen files. It includes the main app component, the chat interface, and settings panel. I also added the README. The setup is straightforward, using Tailwind CSS for styling and React for the framework. This project feels like a stripped-down version of the companion app, focused on a specific use case.
I started by initializing the repository and bringing in the core application structure.
The third project was agentic-scraper. This one is a bit different because it uses JSX instead of TSX. I initialized the repo and added the initial application files. The codebase is about three thousand lines across thirteen files. It includes the main app component, the agent editor, the workflow builder, and the scraper logic. I also added the README. The structure is similar to the other two, with a clear separation between the UI components and the business logic. This project feels like the most experimental of the three, with a focus on building agents that can scrape data.
I did not spend much time on any of these projects today. The goal was just to get them started. I want to make sure the initial commits are clean and the structure is solid before I start adding more complex features. It is a good way to start the week. I can come back tomorrow and start adding the actual logic. For now, the skeletons are in place.
Also today: I pushed three README files and got the initial commits recorded.
The week started with three new repos and a lot of empty space waiting to be filled.
